According to the mirror Gervinho has arrived at Arsenal to complete a medical ahead of his £10.6 million move from Lille.
The forward played a vital role in Lille’s title-winning side last term as he scored 15 goals, whilst making 10 assists. So the 24-year-old’s versatility will be a major boost to Arsenal’s hunt for silverware next season as he is adept at playing in a supporting role, wide of the striker on either flank, as well as spearheading an attack.
Gervinho, who previously stated his intention to help Arsenal end their seven-year trophy drought, will become our second signing this summer after the arrival of Carl Jenkinson from Charlton in June, and will be a welcome boost to the squad and it signals Wengers intentions to strengthen the squad with more experienced, proven stars. Lets hope this signing is enough to persuade Nasri to stay on!
