Arsene Wenger has confirmed he expects the futures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri to be resolved “very quickly” and neither move is a done deal.
Reports were circulating yesterday that Arsenal had agreed to lower their demands for Fabregas so that the saga could finally be over by this weekend. Wenger has now confirmed that a decision will be made in the imminent future.
“That is completely the truth,” he told the club’s official website. “We hope it will be sorted out very quickly one way or the other. We’ll know very quickly.”
Reports in the French media had also said that Nasri was likely to be a Manchester City player before the season kicks off on Saturday, with the French international coach Laurent Blanc stating that a move away is a priority of Nasri’s. But Wenger insists: “The Nasri situation is stable.
“Again, it is very difficult to speak about possible transfers, but we are in a situation where we have to make decisions one way or the other. Ideally you want it to be sorted out before the season starts.”
Asked whether either could already be considered a done deal, he replied: “No.”

I’m pretty sure all Gunner fans just want this to be over. Why we don’t just buy a player like Juan Mata already I do not know, it is clear that Fabregas is leaving (the bookies have placed him at 1/20 to switch to Barcelona). Come on Wenger stop being a push over and sell these two and recruit ASAP!
