An interesting rumour that is buzzing around is that Arsenal are looking to swoop-in for Real Madrid player Esteban Granero, also known as the pirate, to provide depth to the squad amidst persistent injuries to Diaby and the long lay-off of Wilshere due to surgery.
It has been rumoured that an Arsenal delegation team has been sent over to Spain in order to negotiate a deal for the under-21 Spanish international who is valued at approximately £6m.
According to goal.com Arsene is keen for the attacking midfielder in order to share some of the creative burden that is being currently tackled by young Ramsey and new signing Mikel Arteta.
Granero has featured little for Real Madrid this season only playing 7 minutes of the campaign so far due to competition from both Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira. If Madrid were to sell in the January transfer window it is hoped that a bidding war would ensue with Malaga, who are also interested.
With Wilshere out until February at the earliest and Diaby facing injury woes, Granero could provide some added depth to midfield as well as get more substantial minutes on the playing field. What do you guys think? Feel free to leave a comment below.
