Jack Wilshere has revealed that his injury rehab is ‘going well’, and now is able to work harder on his way to recovery
The 19 year old England international went under the knife six weeks ago after suffering a stress fracture in his right ankle during the summer that saw him hobble off just minutes after kick off in the Emirates Cup ‘final’ against NY Red Bulls.
Arsenal’s medical team had originally hoped that the injury would heal itself with the help of a protective boot but he was forced to undergo an operation that is set to keep him out of the first team squad until 2012.
Wilshere, who made his Arsenal first team debut last year, revealed on his twitter page:
As I said had 6 week X-ray earlier and all going well.
I can start to work a bit harder now.
His words are a big boost for Gunners fans that can not wait to see the youngster back in action once again and work his way back into the England Euro squad. Wenger will be highly cautious with the youngster as he will not want Wilshere to suffer any reoccurrances or setbacks in his bid for full recovery. You can expect to see the Englishman back in action in February.
