The young Englishman was on course for a comeback earlier in the season, but to Arsenal’s dismay he suffered a second stress fracture that has kept him on the sidelines.
While Wenger has revealed Wilshere could return before the end of the season, he also stated he will be cautious as previously fast-tracking the Englishman simply delayed his long anticipated return.
As well as Arsenal, no doubt England will also be praying that the young midfielder is will make a successful return as his availability would be a huge boost to England’s Euro 2012 chances.
According to the Daily Mirror Arsene said on Wilshere:
We have good news but Jack isn’t close to a comeback.
The last scan was good and he can start to jog again so he is on the way back – but we have to be very cautious with him.
I hope to have him back before the end of the season, but we go step by step.
The news seems promising and hopefully Wilshere makes a successful comeback at a time where he is 100% fit to return. It has been tough going without the young midfielder and to have him back in the closing stages of the season could really aid Arsenal’s ambitions for a top-four spot!
