Theo Walcott has been labelled as a ‘possible’ inclusion for this Sunday’s vital clash away to West Bromwich Albion as the Gunners look to secure third place in the final match of the season.
However there is some bad news from the Arsenal camp as Bacary Sagna is set to undergo his second surgery this season to repair his freshly broken fibula. He will certainly miss the Euro’s as expected and it will be a race against time to be fit for the new season.
Arsene Wenger revealed the latest team news at his prematch conference:
[on Theo Walcott] He will have a test [on his hamstring]. I don’t know yet if he will be included in the squad or not. It is possible.
[on other team news for Sunday] We have little doubts about Park, Squillaci and Santos but they should all be ready.
[on Bacary Sagna] He will have surgery tonight. It is a straight broken fibula. We expect him to be out for a few months but let’s see how surgery goes tonight.
Sad news for Sagna who would have loved to be a part of the must-win game this weekend. But on the positive side his contribution since his recovery from his first break was vital in their resurgence and now he will have a relaxing summer and start next season fresh.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s fixture against West Brom, Walcott will be a much needed boost for the Gunners attack that has struggled for form recently. He can inject more pace out wide and hopefully tee up Van Persie as he has done so excellently this season.
