Young up-an-comer Benik Afobe will be joining Bolton Wanderers on loan for the 2012/13 season as confirmed by Arsenal’s official website Arsenal.com.
Afobe was involved in all three of Arsenal’s fixtures on their Far East Tour and will now go to the Championship to seek more experience and first-team football.
The young Englishman also featured on the international stage for England in the Under-19 Euro Championships, scoring two goals and helping the Three Lions progress to the semi-finals.
The move to Bolton is a familiar one for Arsenal youngsters with Jack Wilshere and Ryo Miyaichi previously making the move to the Reebok and hopefully Afobe will also enjoy a successful spell.
Afobe tweeted on the loan move:
I can now confirm I have joined Bolton Wanderers on loan for the season. Very grateful to be given this opportunity and will give my…All for the club in every game and training session. The aim is for me to get first team experience week in week out and mature as…A player. Thank you to everyone for the positive messages. Love all my followers. #AFC #BWFC.
