Reported Arsenal target Abel Taarabt is set to stay put with Queens Park Rangers according to his manager Mark Hughes.
The attack minded midfielder has produced moments of brilliance since their promotion last season after helping his side to the summit of the Championship in 2010/11 and was linked with the Gunners during that following summer.
Last season he suffered with the pace and physicality of the top flight which led to suggestions that he couldn’t hack the Premier League, however after some promising performances against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea at the tail end of last season and a return to form this campaign, he has once again been linked with a return to North London.
The former Spuds man is rated highly by manager Mark Hughes who has in the past managed the likes of Tevez and Robinho and labelled Taarabt as one of the best players he has worked with.
The Daily Mail reported Mark Hughes stated:
It wouldn’t surprise me if clubs were looking at him but I know for a fact that he is very happy here and he sees his future here.

This is the best place for him because we support him, we give him the best chance to be successful, and he understands that.
He’s an outstanding player. In terms of ability alone he is arguably one of the best players I have played or worked with.
Obviously that is not the whole package. There are still parts of his game that he has to work on and he understands that.
He is working exceptionally hard for there team, which in the past has been a criticism of him. That’s not the case now.
He is in a really good place now in terms of his attitude to his work and what he is able to produce on the pitch.
We are really pleased with what he is showing on the pitch.
The Moroccan has had issues off the pitch while battling to make an impression last season, however he has since been in impressive form recently as he try’s to inspire the Rangers for their first win of the campaign.
Although Hughes may rate him highly, his arrogance and sometimes rebellious behavior makes him less of a catch. The media have been over hyping Arsenal’s interest in the player because, simply put, he is not Arsenal calibre.
The Gunners have plenty of midfield options at present and the main position that needs strengthening is the combative defensive midfield role. With Cazorla, Wilshere, Ramsey and Rosicky Wenger has plenty of options centrally, and out wide there is Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gervinho, Walcott, Podolski and even Arshavin that are more likely to lure more fans to buy Arsenal tickets than Taarabt.
The conclusion? Do not even waste your time enquiring over his availability Wenger, there are far better players around that would suit the Arsenal setup and will strengthen the squad where required.
