According to The Mirror, Arsenal will move for QPR’s winter recruit Loic Remy if the relegation stricken side land themselves in the Championship next season.
The former Marseille striker has been followed by the Gunners in the past however with his injury record and form a concern while in France, it was the Loftus Road outfit who took the £8m plunge to attempt to save their season in January.
According to the report Arsenal’s scouts have been impressed with the way he has responded since his move across the Channel, scoring five goals in seven starts, including the opener in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Wigan.
Upon signing with the Rangers a release clause was inserted should the London side find themselves relegated, and he could be available for as low as £6m, not a bad price for a French international who has adjusted well to English life.

His injury-prone nature is certainly a concern especially since he suffered a groin injury after first arriving which saw the Frenchman miss around three weeks of action. But when he has played his finishing has been top drawer and seems like a viable option for Arsenal in the summer.
Wenger’s knows of Remy’s abilities, however he may not be quite the calibre of striker the Gunners are after. The versatile forward who can play out wide seems like another Podolski, a player that is capable of playing as a lone frontman but in Wenger’s system is forced to play on the wing. Also his form this season with Marseille is a concern where he managed only two starts, one goal and twelve substitute appearances. But the twelve-time capped France international is an interesting option for the summer spending spree as he possesses pace and skill making for a very direct striker. He would be a useful addition, but certainly should not be our primary target.
