The Welshman was more akin to a Jack of all trades earlier in the season after Wenger dispatched him in a number of different positions, but he now seems to be finally excelling in his preferred role.
He certainly got a fair share of flak thrown at him when he was dispatched out wide, although you have to admit that he was thrown in the deep end by Arsene Wenger.
Ramsey is quoted as saying by Arsenal.com:
I’m really pleased with my form. I’m working hard and putting in some good performances, so I’m happy.
It makes a big difference [to be in central midfield]. That’s my position and it’s where I want to play.
At the beginning of the season I was moving all over the pitch, playing left wing, right wing, right back. I was asked to do a job in many positions, which I’m happy to do for the team. If the manager wants me to play there, I’m not going to say no.

But I’ve got my place back in the middle and I’m happy with that. My performances have shown what I’m capable of doing in the middle.
The key now for Ramsey is to obviously maintain the level of his recent performances, particularly if he wants to retain his starting berth.
He is a tireless worker, that was clearly seen in the game against Everton. Although one area that I feel he needs to improve is releasing the ball earlier as he sometimes dwells too long on the ball, particularly when there is a great opportunity on the counter-attack.
In saying that however, you are hopeful that these things will come more naturally with playing more regularly in his desired position. We are finally starting to see some of that potential we all knew he had. He has heart and it’s great to see him bounce back!
