Theo Walcott believes the Gunners are more than capable of finishing in the top four this season and they will look to utilize their strong counter-attacking football in their final two matches.
The England international notched his 20th goal for Arsenal this season against QPR over the weekend, and while he is happy to achieve his own personal goal, his main focus is on securing a Champions League qualification spot for the Gunners.
Arsenal currently sit fourth, but if rivals Spurs manage to overcome third placed Chelsea in tomorrow’s vital clash they will leapfrog the Wenger’s side with just two matches remaining.
Walcott has netted in consecutive matches for Arsenal and while he is happy scoring it is the points that matter to the English winger the most. He told Arsenal’s official website:
[Twenty goals] was my target for the season. I said a few weeks back that I was short on goals, but I wanted the team to be where we should be rather than [reaching] my personal goals.
I really want us to get Champions League football because we deserve it. We have been up and down this season and so have a lot of clubs, but we are getting the points on the board now when it matters.

Every game this season is very difficult – for example, Tottenham only scored their winner in the last five minutes [against Southampton].
Every game is tight and everyone is fighting for their lives. We know teams will have to come at us, but we have great strength on the counter-attack and hopefully we can utilise that.
Theo has finally regained some of the blistering form we witnessed earlier on in the season, and it is an achievement to reach 20 goals as a winger especially one that is aiming to become a centre forward. His finishing has hugely improved and his composure is vital for the side as they attempt to salvage their season in the top four.
Let’s hope he can do it again in a weeks time against a struggling Wigan side! COYG!
