The 23 year old who currently plies his trade in the second tier of Turkish football with Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor, has been in excellent form since his switch to the club in 2011, having notched 12 goals and 18 assists in 77 appearances.
Visca admitted that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had kept a close eye on him in recent seasons, and this played a major factor in his form as he attempts to impress the Frenchman.
According to The Express, he said:
Arsene Wenger has sent scouts to observe my games, this has motivated me and helped me get into the [Bosnian] national team.
However, while he’s flattered by the interest shown in him, he insists he’s not thinking about a move yet and is only concentrating on next summer’s World Cup. He added:
I am not thinking about transfers right now all I am focusing on is the World Cup, let’s see what happens after.
Despite his obscure location in terms of club football, he has also earned recognition on the international stage, winning six caps at senior level for his home nation. He still has nearly three years left to run on the contract he signed when he joined Istanbul BB in 2011, so the Turks are not likely to let him go on the cheap.
There is not too much to information available on him except for the fact that he is a left winger and does not have much experience at the top level. He is just one of a number of players we’re looking at and there is no guarantee we’ll make any sort of formal move for him. However Wenger does love bringing in a virtually unknown talent and turning them into stars, so we can’t come to conclusions just yet.
Arsenal need to sign proven talents when the winter transfer window re-opens in January, so they can push to end our trophy drought this season. Wenger should wait until the summer window for the Bosnian as we will get a chance to see what he can do next summer when he goes to the World Cup with Bosnia. It would be more prudent to spend the money on bringing in a big name striker during January.
