One quarter, three, four, five, nine, nine, ten, ten, eleven, twenty-two by Josif
Another victory for the Gunners left them sitting firmly on the top of the table. There are numbers in the title that reflect how the season has been for the Gunners so far.
1.One quarter. Or a bit more, actually.
One quarter of the Premiership season is behind us and we can be delighted with the fact we have been in the driving seat for some time and that we will remain there after next week as well. It will be a long journey and there are going to be a lot of obstacles in our way to the title but we need to repeat what we have done so far three more times (or a little bit less than that) and we will be champions!
Number of consecutive wins. We have beaten Norwich (4:1), Crystal Palace (2:0) and Liverpool (2:0).
Number of assists that Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Özil have picked respectively. They are joint second in the assist category in the league alongside Gabby Agbonlahor from Aston Villa. Only Wayne Rooney has created more goals than our trio – the Englishman has 5 assists to his name.
We are five points clear ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool. Granted, Everton or Spuds might reduce that gap tomorrow.
Number of matches without defeat in the Premiership. We haven’t been defeated in the Premiership since that Anthony Taylor-sponsored defeat in the opening fixture against Aston Villa.
Number of victories in the last ten away games in the Premiership including five from the brilliant run-in from the last term.
Number of different players that have scored for us – Ramsey 6, Giroud 5, Podolski, Özil, Wilshere 2, Mertesacker, Sagna, Gnabry, Arteta and Cazorla 1.
Number of games without defeat away from home in the Premiership. Nine victories and one draw – West Brom have been the only team that managed to avoid defeat against us on their soil since 3rd March.
Number of goals we have scored.
Of course, there are 28 games to be played and a lot of things can change. Nevertheless, that doesn’t change the fact that after Week Ten Arsenal are top of the table!
