Arsenal legendary striker Thierry Henry has rejoined the Gunners training sessions once again as he maintains his fitness during the MLS winter break.
His current employers New York Red Bulls have time off for the next few months during their close season, so the former Gunner’s captain has taken the opportunity to maintain his fitness levels at the clubs Hertfordshire training complex.
Henry played for eight years at Arsenal, scoring a club record 226 goals in all competitions. He also came back for two months on loan during the 2011/12 season where he netted a vital winner in the FA Cup against Leeds and against Sunderland in his final match with the club.
Although he joins the Gunners in training for the third consecutive winter, it is highly unlikely he will be re-signed for a third spell. In saying that I’m sure many Gooners would prefer Henry to Bendtner!
Having the Frenchman in and around the club is invaluable for many of the up and coming youngsters, also he can help work with the strikers while maintaining his own fitness levels. Always good to see the likes of Pires and Henry floating about the club.
