Arsenal v Everton
Barclays Premier League
Kick off: December 08, 2013 4:00 PM BST
An intense game, full of aggression and determination from both sides. Late goals at both ends, and a last minute Giroud rocket that left the crossbar shaking. This game had everything but a winner, it finished 1-1 at the Emirates. Here are the player ratings:
Wojciech Szczesny | 7.75: He has been fantastic recently, and was nothing less today. He made some vital saves, and was unlucky to concede late on.

Carl Jenkinson | 7.5: Still young and raw but put in a great effort tonight. He was composed and confident on the ball tonight, making some important defensive interceptions.
Laurent Koscielny | 8.5:(MotM) Koscielny was one of if not the best player on the pitch tonight. He kept Lukaku pretty quiet, reading passes well and making a huge amount of interceptions.
Per Mertesacker | 8.0: Really kept us in it in the first half. He was ever present and commanding in the air, clearing cross after cross from Oviedo. Great performance.
Kieran Gibbs | 7.25: Gibbs was good going forward, but was caught out a couple of times defensively. He was the one marking Deulofeu for the Everton goal, although it was difficult to do much about it.
Mikel Arteta | 7.0: Arteta was fairly poor at times tonight by his standards. I felt he struggled with the pace and movement of Everton’s attacking players, giving Lukaku and Barkley far too much space.
Aaron Ramsey | 7.25: Started off very sloppily, giving away possession and not offering enough going forward. His defensive contribution was solid though, putting in a number of good tackles.
Mesut Özil | 8.0: Was our brightest attacking player throughout the game, always looking capable of a bit of magic. Got on the score sheet too.
Santi Cazorla | 6.0: Yet again a pretty poor game by Cazorla, misplaced passes and missed opportunities. He needs to find form again, or risk losing his place in the side.
Jack Wilshere | 7.25: Was a bit up and down this game. He had to track back a lot as Everton’s full backs were constantly up the pitch. He would disappear for short spells and then pop up again with some great passing and movement.
Olivier Giroud | 7.5: Giroud missed a few chances he probably should have scored tonight. That said though, his hold up play was once again vital to our game, and he was incredibly unlucky not to score with his final shot of the game.
Mathieu Flamini | 7.75: I think his effect on the pitch and the players was obvious the moment he came on. He was barking orders at everyone and really motivating the team to keep going.
Theo Walcott | 7.0: Came on as a substitute again, and again supplied an assist.
Thomas Rosicky | 7.0: Assisted the assist with a great lofted cross over the top, and gave an injection of energy and aggression that we needed.
