Real Madrid young and upcoming striker Alvaro Morata has revealed that he has no intentions of leaving the Santiago Bernabéu in the near future, squashing any rumours of a loan move to the Gunners this winter.
The Spanish giants were reported to be considering allowing their third choice centre forward to depart this winter on a loan deal until the end of the season, with Arsene Wenger tipped as the most likely manager to acquire his services as the Frenchman is low on striking options for the second half of their season.
The Spaniard, who netted in Madrid’s 5-0 smashing of Real Betis over the weekend, has essentially ended any speculation linking him with a move away from his childhood club.
The Evening Standard reported the 21-year-old as saying:
Despite all the stories that have emerged, I am happy here. I have spoken with the club and the coach and told them I want to stay here.
This is the team I have spent my entire life at and I will stay here and do whatever the club asks of me, even if it’s to play a minimal amount of games.

I know that I’m at the best club in the world and that I need to improve.
With both Benzema and Jese ahead of him in the pecking order at the La Liga outfit, it appeared he was set for a loan experience to develop and get some important first team experience under his belt.
Arsenal have been hotly tipped to launch a bid to bring him in this winter albeit on a temporary deal, however it appears any such arrangement seems unlikely after his statements above.
The Gunners have just over a week to add another attacker to their front line, with Mirko Vucinic the most likely candidate at present, however Nicklas Bendtner is closing in on his return to action which could force Wenger to rethink his January spending.
