There is some good injury news for the Gunners who are likely to have Jack Wilshere fit for their upcoming Premiership tie against Liverpool and Tomas Rosicky is hopeful to return for this weekend’s fixture against Crystal Palace.
Aaron Ramsey will out for a number of weeks after suffering a relapse to his recent thigh injury which is a big blow with an intense fixture list on the horizon.
Wilshere’s return next week will be a big boost however after some sublime performances from the Englishman recently, however he suffered an ankle injury in a tackle against Coventry.
It was also reported that Mathieu Flamini could receive a lengthier four game suspension after already being handed a single game suspension after his first five yellow cards, however it’s been confirmed he will be available for the Liverpool FA Cup tie and will be suspended for just (..?) three games, all in the Premier League, against Crystal Palace (h), Liverpool (a), Manchester United (h).
Wenger revealed the latest team news ahead of the Crystal Palace match:
[on Wilshere (ankle)] We have good news. For Sunday he will be short but he has a chance to be available for the week after at Liverpool.
[on Ramsey (thigh)] Ramsey will be out for longer because he had a setback and it doesn’t look too good. It is matter of some weeks for him.
[on any other ins or outs] Not from Southampton, we have no problems apart from Flamini who we lose through suspension. Everybody else should be available. We could have Rosicky back again for Sunday. He had problems after surgery on his nose. So we lose Flamini but we gain Rosicky.
Predicted lineup to follow…
