Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has urged his team mates to remain positive for the Premier League title race after they were held to a 2-2 draw at Southampton on Tuesday.
The Gunners took a 2-1 lead in the second half after goals from Giroud and Santi Cazorla, but Adam Lallana stroked home shortly after to earn Mauricio Pochettino’s men a point at St Mary’s.
The Gunners are currently 21/4 favourites to win the league, and so far this season fans are betting with the bonus code for Unibet. The Frenchman has urged the North Londoners to stay in a positive frame of mind to continue the title charge, despite Tuesday’s setback.
According to Arsenal’s official website, he said:
We had some trouble in the first half to play our game, maybe because Southampton closed us down really well.
After that we wanted to come back as strongly as we could and we did well but it’s a shame we didn’t manage to win the game.

Southampton are one of the best teams we have played, they deserved the draw. We have to come back on Sunday now – we have the opportunity to play at home so we have to look forward to that.
The championship is not finished and we have to keep our heads up. It’s not the end of the world.
The result was a pretty good watch for the neutrals, but Gunners fans will be disappointed by their teams performance, especially in the first half. The second was better but still that wasn’t enough to get the full points.
Southampton are a very decent team, but if Arsenal would have produced more of a strangle hold on the game, then it would have been far harder for the Saints to dominate the game. A positive result from the game must be that Arsenal performed well below their usual standards, but still claimed a point at St Marys, even after being reduced to ten men.
The Gunners are now two points clear at the top of the Premier League table (prior to City and Chelsea’s games) and if Arsenal are to finish the season with silverware then the performances need to improve and fast.
