Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a summer move for Michy Batshuayi and have already approached Standard Liege over the proposed transfer, according to reports in the Metro.
The 20 year old striker has been in fine form scoring 35 goals in 83 appearances for Standard Leige since his debut and is being described as the rising star of Belgian football.
The report states that Arsenal have asked Belgian side Standard Liege to name their price for striker Michy Batshuayi as Wenger considers a summer bid. The Gunners have been tracking Batshuayi for most of the season along with Premier League rivals Everton and Wenger has been impressed with what he’s seen.
It further states that Arsenal value him at about £10 million and they would be willing to put that offer on the table, if Liege are open to doing business. He has also caught the attentions of Barcelona, Real Madrid and AC Milan, who have all sent scouts over to watch him at various points this season.
Batshuayi has fantastic dribbling ability, possesses unbelievable pace and power. He is also very good in and around the box, with a tremendous leaping ability and can terrify opposing defenders both with the ball at his feet and in the air.

He will obviously have to hone his skills to succeed in a much more physically demanding division like the Premier League. He has all the attributes to become one of Europe’s most dangerous front-men over the next couple of years. He is fast, strong and would offer Arsenal a genuine alternative to Olivier Giroud and Yaya Sanogo.
He seems a great prospect with a decent price tag and definitely has the talents to make an instant impact and with Arsenal making the first approach, it seems more than likely that the Emirates will be the Belgian attackers next destination.
