Arsenal v Swansea
Barclays Premier League
Kick off: March 25, 2014 19.45 PM BST
It was a poor response from the Gunners following Saturday thrashing at Stamford Bridge as they failed to beat the struggling Swans at home due to a late own goal. The fourth-place-battle might be a nervy one again. Here are the player ratings.
Wojciech Szczesny | 6.0: He didn’t have too much to do but it was him who hit Flamini with the ball before it went in. Might have done better with Bony’s header too.
Bacary Sagna | 6.0: He was on the ball too much in the first half. His ball-possession exemplified what was wrong with our attacking display – he would simply receive the ball on the right and stand powerless because his team-mates didn’t offer him any options for a proper pass. Taylor made a cross for Bony’s goal from his part of the pitch.
Per Mertesacker | 6.5: Came close to scoring in the first half but hit the side-netting. He had been the first out of three our players to touch the ball before we conceded their second goal.

Thomas Vermaelen | 5.5: Pale performance from our captain as he was beaten by Bony for the first goal and didn’t stop the Swansea attack before the second. He hasn’t been effective clearing corners for a while either.
Kieran Gibbs | 6.0: Gibbs made a brilliant cross for Podolski’s goal but his defensive performance was poor. He was shaken with everything that happen against Chelsea but I have a feeling that Gibbs hasn’t improved this season as he should’ve had.
Mikel Arteta | 6.0: Another pale performance from the Spaniard and one that proved once more that Arteta shouldn’t be in the first-team combination next season.
Mathieu Flamini | 5.5: His own goal might have been a bad luck but The Flame shouldn’t have been on the pitch anyway – or at least not in a pair with Arteta.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain | 5.5: He had been brilliant in February but his form has been in decline since our FA Cup victory against Everton. He made a few good runs and had a few good attempts in the first half but his passing was rather poor.
Tomas Rosicky | 6.0: Rosicky was trying to do something but it wasn’t his A-game. Hopefully fatigue won’t prevent him from being at his best against City.
Santi Cazorla | 6.0: Had one good attempt in the first half. Didn’t provide enough creation for our game.
Olivier Giroud | 6.5: Was pretty much anonymous for the whole match except when he scored with a typical first-touch finish. Replaced by Sanogo.
Lukas Podolski | 7.0: Injected some pace, energy and directness into our game after he was brought in for Chamberlain. Scored and assisted in the space of just one minute.
Kim Kallstrom | 6.0: Made a few nice passes. His technique and passing look very well but let’s not jump to any conclusions.
Yaya Sanogo | N/A: Hadn’t had enough time to earn his mark.
