Arsenal are set receive a big injury boost this weekend for their trip to Hull City with the news that Mesut Ozil should be part of the traveling squad.
The Germany international has been out injured since the Gunners second leg Champions League loss to Bayern Munich, but he will provide a much needed injection of quality and finesse after some recent average team performances without their star record signing.
Elsewhere it seems Kieran Gibbs will be out still however Nacho Monreal will race the clock to be fit for Sunday’s tie. Mathieu Flamini will be available after serving his two ban for too many cards.
Arsene Wenger revealed the latest team news in his pre-match press conference:
I think Gibbs will be out for the weekend. But Monreal is possibly available and Ozil could be available to travel as well. I will see about that on Friday and Saturday.
[on Ozil’s timely return] It’s good to have him back because we had so many offensive players out. He gives you always opportunities to score and I have to test him physically tomorrow and Saturday to see if he can travel.
