Lukas Podolski has done little to endear himself to fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur with his latest tweet, celebrating St Totteringham’s Day – the day Gooners celebrate when the Spuds are incapable of overtaking them in the league.
The German winger helped his side beat Newcastle 3-0, playing the full ninety minutes on the left retaining the gap between them and fellow north Londoners Spurs to 7 points.
Despite apparent rumours of his future, plenty of the Arsenal faithful enjoy the passion the German international brings to the club and his evident support for the Arsenal cause is only strengthened with his StTD celebrations.
It’s now the clubs 19th consecutive St Totterinham’s Day, and our very own Josif likened the day to Easter – it happens every year but on a different day. Love it.
