According to John Cross from The Mirror, Aaron Ramsey has taken a big step in his recovery and could return to training as early as this week. He may potentially be ready for the Gunners FA Cup semi final clash with Wigan next weekend.
The Welshman has been sidelined since Boxing Day with a thigh injury and has suffered a couple of relapses in his recovery but it appears the worst is behind him.
According to the report, Ramsey could be in line for a return against Wigan at Wembley, but much will depend on how he responds to a full week of training. There is certainly no sense in rushing him back and risking another setback. However after four very difficult months on the treatment table he will be a massive boost for the season run-in and hopefully Arsenal’s FA Cup chances.
Ramsey was undoubtedly our best player in the first part of the season and Arsenal may never have lost their lead at the Premier League summit had the talented midfielder not suffered the injury.
But it appears the light is near at the end of the tunnel, and for Mesut Ozil too also who is earmarked for a return to the training ground next week. The Germany international is overcoming a hamstring injury sustained last month against Bayern Munich and apparently has an outside chance of making the FA Cup clash. Centre-back Laurent Koscielny is also believed to be a couple weeks away from returning from his calf injury.
It appears likely that both Ozil and Kosciely are looking at returning for the Hull City tie in a fortnights time, and alongside Ramsey will be a big boost for final two months of the season.
