The Gunners have seen their title bid quickly fade away in recent weeks after a run of just one win in six top-flight outings dropped Wenger’s men down to fourth place in the table.
The Polish international feels that the North London side are more mature as they prepare for their first game at the home of English football since their League Cup final defeat by Birmingham City back in 2011.
Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, he said:
It’s huge – we know that we’re in a very strong position to win the FA Cup this year, and we’re two games away from doing so,” he told Arsenal Player.
We’re at Wembley so we know how important it is for the fans and all the players. I hope it’s going to be a very positive day for the club.
We had a bad experience recently at Wembley in the League Cup final. But [we’ve matured] a lot and we’ve got a lot more experienced players. Also I think that the likes of Jack and Aaron Ramsey and myself were only 18 or 19 at the time.

We’re three years older now, we’ve got three years of experience under our belt and we’re more prepared for it.
Arsenal haven’t played well for quite some time now and will face Wigan in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday. The Gunners are no longer in the title race and even fourth place looks difficult with Everton closing in quickly on them. If they’re going to save their season they need to win the FA Cup and to get to the final they have to overcome the holders.
Wigan were huge underdogs when they beat City in the final last year, but they finished the season getting relegated to the Championship. They didn’t do too well early on this season but have since recovered well and even knocked City out of the Cup in the last round. The Latics can’t be taken easily but Arsenal being a top Premier League side will fancy their chances.
The Gunners will have to put in another one of their far too frequent poor displays for Wigan to get a result. We will be strong favourites to win the FA Cup and hopefully they can do just that because the Cup is the only option to save our season.
