It is a question of when and not if Arsenal win the FA cup. This might sound presumptuous but no Arsenal fan can fathom a loss and why should they? They have stood by the team through thick and thin and now the team is about to reward them with a trophy to celebrate. We cannot afford to fall at the final hurdle. So after Arsenal win the FA cup, there are a few questions Arsene Wenger should address.
What trophy to aim for next season?
Should Wenger go for the one trophy that has eluded him, the Champions League, remember how it felt to win the Premier League, or just try to defend the FA cup…League cup perhaps? He could decided to gamble and go for a double or treble which brings me to my next two points?
Obviously we need to make sure we have enough cover for next season as our title charge really suffered due to a lack of depth. We need at least three or more players as cover for every position. Squad depth is crucial as Chelsea and Manchester City have shown in recent years. Chelsea won against Liverpool even after resting key players for their Champions League clash while Manchester City were able to call on the services of Edin Dzeko, Jovetic and Negredo when Sergio Aguero was injured.

This refers to a player’s individual quality. Chelsea have already confirmed the capture of Diego Costa and Manchester United are hell bent on getting Edison Cavani. Arsenal, if rumors are to be believed, were looking at the likes of Wilfried Bony and Carlos Vela to boost our strike force. No offence to these players but they are not an improvement to Giroud. Imagine Manchester United starting with Cavani and bringing in Van Persie as a sub… or vice versa while Arsenal start with Giroud and bring in Bony? Still, it’s early days. Remember just recently, there was speculation Drmic was on the verge of a move to Arsenal before Bayer Leverkusen snapped him up. Karim Benzema would be a great signing, one worthy of Arsenal class. There is no point speculating until there is something concrete but it needs to be a player worth the hype.
When Arsenal win the FA cup, the hunger for more trophies will be insatiable. Other teams will strengthen and Arsene Wenger should make sure Arsenal do not get left behind.
