Leicester City v Arsenal
Barclays Premier League
King Power Stadium
Kick off: August 31, 2014 4.00 PM BST
Arsenal travel to Leicester on a high after securing Champions League qualification but face The Foxes who have had a very unkind fixture list to begin their return to the Premier League.
The Gunners injury curse is in full swing once again, even Shad Forsythe cannot save us from the inevitable it seems. Mikel Arteta, Kieran Gibbs and Olivier Giroud are all set to miss the tie with the latter out until January.
Podolski, according to a recent Instagram post may well be in hometown of Cologne which does little to reinforce his place in the squad. Surely the World Cup winner squeezes ahead of Joel Campbell in the pecking order? But we cannot read too much into an Instagram picture which may well have been old.
Nothing much will change at the back from the Besiktas tie, however the midfield could see a little reshuffle. Aaron Ramsey should return at the expense of Jack Wilshere, and although the Englishman thrived in midweek he may have to be sacrificed for the shape of the team.
Santi Cazorla may be shifted to the left to allow Mesut Ozil to finally slot into his favoured No10 role with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right wing. Wenger could stick with Wilshere in the mix, but everything seems too congested with too many centrally minded players. Alexis Sanchez looks certain to lead the line.
Here is our predicted lineup:
Debuchy Mertesacker (c) Koscielny Monreal
