The North London club have added several new faces to their squad with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy, Calum Chambers, David Ospina and Danny Welbeck joining this summer. They are currently seventh in the table after taking five points from their opening three top-flight games.
However, Van Bronckhorst feels the Gunners are in the mix along with other top Premier League teams to win the title during the 2014/15 season.
According to Talk Sport, he said:
Arsenal have a good enough squad to win the Premier League title. They are one of the teams who are capable [of winning the league]. It’s a major boost for Arsene, and for all involved, to be in the Champions League.
The experience of the German players, who became world champions this summer, is also good for the team.
Danny Welbeck wasn’t in Man United’s plans but he’s a very talented striker. He’s very experienced and has played for England a few times. Arsenal’s squad is big and very talented.
They have had a shaky start to their League campaign with a nervy win over Crystal Palace and this was followed with two draws against Everton and Leicester City. The draw at Goodison Park might be termed as a good result, but the draw against Leicester City would be regarded as two points lost rather than one point gained.

In Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny, the Gunners have a rock-solid foundation to build from the back, with relatively inexperienced Calum Chambers as their cover. They Gunners are also relatively stocked in midfield even though many fans have raised their concerns about the club’s failure to secure a holding midfielder.
The North London club would go into the new campaign with more confidence in their attacking options and in Alexis, they have a superstar they can count on to come up with the goods when the chips are down. The Gunners also have Welbeck, a player eager to prove himself to everyone. Many fans have mixed thoughts on the Englishman, but he is a superb athlete with raw reserves of pace, good technique and an eye for goal.
Other big teams have also made their own fair share of investments this season, but I’m confident that they will challenge for the Premier League title this season. The Gunners were just seven points behind the champions last campaign, despite dropping from the summit to fourth place and with that extra quality at Arsenal’s disposal this season, they can go all the way.
