The English Premier League is well known for its quality of football. There are a number of teams capable of challenging for the trophy, and getting into the top four is much tougher compared to the other major leagues; with five to six teams possessing the quality to mount a challenge.
Also, with the amount of money available in the Premier League, many of the world’s best footballers are attracted to play here. Arsene Wenger also highlighted this fact in an interview today, saying that the best attacking footballers in Europe were present in the English Premier League.
A total of 143 goals have been scored in the first five rounds of league matches this season. This is an average of nearly three goals per game, which is an increase of 33% over the same phase last season. This, according to Wenger, is further proof that the best talent in Europe is present in the Premier League.
When you look at the top-quality players that come into the Premier League now, basically we have all of the best attacking players in Europe here.
The creative players also play in England. If you look at the big clubs, [they have] the huge financial potential and huge offensive power.
I believe as well that the financial potential of the English Premier League allows lower clubs with less financial potential to buy the best players in Europe, because the clubs in the second half of the Premier League still have more financial potential than Italian and Spanish clubs.
