The derby loss to the Special One at Stamford Bridge was one of the low points of the year for Gunners’ fans. While better than the 6-0 thrashing we received the last time we travelled to Chelsea, the 2-0 loss was without any positives. We lacked creativity in the final third, failed to make possession count, and the players basically seemed to be disinterested in the game, with the notable exception of Jack Wilshere.
The game was also marred by more than its share of questionable tackles. From Alexis Sanchez’s challenge on Thibaut Courtois, to Cahill’s and Welbeck’s two footed challenges, to Koscielny’s lunge on Eden Hazard, this game was a rough one.
But the biggest incident of the game happened on the sidelines, where Arsene Wenger finally lost his temper and pushed the ‘Special One’ Jose Mourinho.
The following video, made by 4-4-2oons, is an excellent animated representation of the key points of the game, and is probably less painful for Arsenal fans than actually watching the game itself. Happy viewing!
