Mesut Ozil, our impressive German playmaker, has been widely linked with a move to German giants Bayern Munich. This season, Wenger has insisted upon playing the creative midfielder out on the left wing, a massive waste for someone who is acknowledged as the best No. 10 in the world.
Reportedly fed up with this, Ozil had apparently entertained the possibility of a move away from the Emirates. Manchester City had also sensed blood in the water and had jumped in with a £35 million bid to rival Munich’s £30 million offer.
But yesterday on Twitter, Ozil decisively quashed all transfer talk by clearly hinting that he is going to stay at Arsenal for the time being.

As you can see, Ozil starts out by thanking the fans for their support, and then says that he is eager to get back to full fitness so that he can help Arsenal out on the pitch.
He signs off with ‘#MiaSanArsenal’ at the end of the tweet. ‘Mia san mia’, which loosely translates to English as ‘we are who we are’, is a popular chant among Bayern fans, but by this Ozil clearly identifies himself as a Gunner.
This has put to rest the rumours regarding the most expensive transfer in the club’s history. Now we need to focus on getting together on the pitch and picking up the three points against Hull City this weekend. Ozil is out for nearly three months and Wenger needs to come up with something special to keep the team in the title race without some of our best players.
