Arsene Wenger has given the latest injury update ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Burnley at the Emirates this weekend. Arsenal for the first time this season have had a full week’s rest between two games as Arsenal were eliminated by Southampton in the Capital One Cup last month.
Sean Dyche’s side visit Arsenal not having won a single match in the league after their promotion from the championship while Arsenal haven’t won at home since the opening day win over Crystal Palace. Wilshere returns from suspension and as expected Gibbs is a doubt. What we don’t want is another injury at the back.
Yaya Sanogo is back after recovering from an injury that has kept him out for well over a month. Serge Gnabry and Diaby aren’t yet available.
Wenger told arsenal.com
There are a few uncertainties, like Kieran Gibbs. But we’ll know more tomorrow. Apart from that everyone should be available. Wilshere is back from suspension. We have no other injuries and no one else coming back into the squad.
It is a hip problem(for Gibbs). He came off at Sunderland with 20 minutes to go. He is a doubt but we’ll know more tomorrow.
He (Sanogo) is back available.

They(Gnabry and Diaby) are not quite ready yet. Gnabry is closer than Diaby fitness-wise. He is a couple of weeks away.
As expected Gibbs is a doubt and I don’t think Wenger will play him even if the defender passes a late fitness test. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious and a backline of Bellerin, Chambers, Mertesacker and Monreal should do the job against Burnley. In a week when Manchester City meet United, Arsenal can capitalise on dropped points of their rivals if the Gunners can see off Burnley.
