Arsenal are reportedly working on a deal to sign Barcelona teenager Munir El Haddadi on loan in January, according to reports in the Metro.
The 19 year old forward broke into Luis Enrique’s first team at the start of the season and has produced several eye-catching displays for the Catalan giants of late, however with the return of Luis Suarez he has been relegated to the fringes.
The report states that the Gunners have started work on a deal to sign Barcelona’s ‘new Neymar’ on-loan for the rest of the season. The North London club have been tracking the youngster since the summer and with his amount of game time drying up recently, Wenger is moving in.
It further states that Arsenal are pushing to bring the 19 year old in on-loan in January and are optimistic a deal can be agreed. He has a £9.4 million release clause in his contract, is highly-rated at the Nou Camp.
The Gunners have a history of securing youngsters from the Nou Camp with the most obvious success story being that of Cesc Fabregas, while Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral are the most recent to have made the same journey.

Munir has raw potential in abundance that can be honed to perfection by the Frenchman, as he has so often done with young players in the past. He has great pace and is also incredibly versatile, preferring to play as a main striker, but also able to excel on either flank and has great ability in the air too.
The youngster bagged 11 goals in 10 matches throughout last season’s competition and also scored on debut as Barca beat Elche 3-0 on the league’s opening weekend and claimed his first cap for the Spanish senior team in Euro 2016 qualifying in September.
The Gunners already have an abundance of options within the squad and may not be able to offer the Spain international enough game time to make a six month spell in north London a good proposition for all parties. However, I feel Wenger will use this loan deal to assess the youngster and might buy him if he impresses.
