Olivier Giroud has taken a big step on his road to recovery after returning to training despite initial fears that he would be out until the New Year.
The France international bizarrely fractured his left tibia against Everton in late August after a clearance from a Toffee’s defender struck him awkwardly on the shin. It was a serious blow to Giroud’s season as he received shortly surgery and was not expected to return until very late on in 2014.
But the former Montpellier frontman has been making steady progress over the past few weeks and was even captured by Arsenal.com as returning to training today.
The clubs photographer was at the London Colney training pitches with the France international who is expected to join up with his fellow team mates after the current international break.
