The 25 year old continued his recent goal-scoring run on Tuesday night as he netted in the 3-3 draw with Anderlecht at the Emirates.
The former Gunners midfielder reckons the Chilean will be key when Wenger’s side make the trip to Swansea and also highlighted Wilfried Bony as the danger man.
According to Sky Sports, he said:
They are very lucky that they’ve got Alexis Sanchez because he’s been outstanding.
This is a hard game for Arsenal, especially after what happened against Anderlecht. I don’t just blame the back four because defending is done from the front and you have to blame everybody in the team.
They will be in trouble in the Champions League if they don’t win their group, so the priority has to be top four this season. However, I think this will be a hard game for them. I like Wilfried Bony and I think Swansea will cause problems.
It hasn’t taken long for Alexis Sanchez to settle in at Arsenal and has already scored 8 goals in his first 15 appearances, but he is so much more than just goal production, as his work ethic is unreal and he is literally everywhere on the pitch. He has largely had to do it alone, but that doesn’t seem to bother him.

Swansea City have often given Arsenal a really hard game since being promoted and have also started very well this season under the new manager Garry Monk, who has taken the Swans back to their possession based game. In Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, we have two of the best forwards for harrying and pressing the opposing defenders so the Gunners have a big advantage. However after the midweek debacle nothing can be taken for granted when Arsenal are playing.
