Arsenal player Alexis Sanchez has revealed that the left-wing is his favourite position after firing in eight goals for the Gunners in the League this season.
The 25 year old only moved to England this summer in a £32 million move from Barcelona, but so far he has been the Gunners best player in all competitions. The Chilean, who is currently on international duty, has revealed his favourite position since he has been used in a variety of roles by Wenger this season.
According to AS, he said:
I love playing in any of these three [advanced] positions, but I’m a little more comfortable on the left, because it allows me to face defenders and make diagonal with my right foot.
It is easier to score goals as well, but while playing, the truth is that I am happy in any position.
Sanchez has hit top form with Arsenal since his move from Barcelona and with 11 goals so far in all competitions he is proving that the money Wenger paid for him was well spent. He is so much more than just goal production however, as his work ethic is unreal and he is literally everywhere on the pitch.
However, Arsenal seem to be struggling to find quite the same form. This was highlighted in the Champions League draw at home to Anderlecht after leading the game 3-0. Their latest loss at Swansea, again from a winning position due to a Sanchez goal, further deepened the strain. The dip in form of Aaron Ramsey hasn’t helped either, however the return of Theo Walcott is a huge boost for Arsenal.
