Arsenal midfielder Alexis Sanchez has hailed teammate Danny Welbeck for his attacking play and called him a great signing for the Gunners. Sanchez and Welbeck both joined the Premier League side during the summer transfer window and have had promising starts to their careers in North London.
The Chilean has received constant praise for his performances this season, but has shifted the spotlight onto his attacking partner Welbeck.
According to AS, he said:
I love playing with him.
He has a very nice touch and [is a goal] scorer.
He has been a great signing.
The combination of Sanchez and Welbeck bears striking similarities to what Liverpool had last season in Suarez and Sturridge. You have the smaller, quicker and more skillful South American alongside the more powerful, bullish Englishman.

However, Arsenal haven’t been able to perform effectively with that same formula, and Welbeck’s early form for the London side looks to have fizzled out recently, with him missing a variety of opportunities in front of goal. This leaves Sanchez having to do more work and possibly risking a burn-out and that is exactly what Arsenal cannot afford if they are to pick themselves up.
