Arsene Wenger has revealed Laurent Koscielny has a ‘chance’ to be fit for today’s clash with West Ham United, however he faces a late fitness test. Similarly Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has a chance, however he is looking less likely than the Frenchman.
The Gunners managed to come away from Friday’s 2-1 win over QPR with no fresh injury worries, but they will be without the services of Olivier Giroud due to his needless straight red card and consequent three game suspension.
Wenger also touched on Theo Walcott who was an unused substitute against QPR, and insisted he is ‘not far away’ from returning to the first team fold after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. We should expect to see the Englishman today however.
The Arsenal boss told Arsenal.com:
[Laurent] Koscielny has a chance, he will have a test tomorrow He has a little chance. [Alex] Chamberlain has an even smaller chance.
[Theo Walcott] was in the squad on Friday but it was difficult to bring him on when it was tight and we had to defend. He’s not far away.
