Arsenal great Thierry Henry has announced his retirement from the game and has revealed that the next step in his life is to join as a pundit in Sky Sports. Henry recently quit New York Red Bulls and amid much speculation about his future has announced his retirement.
Thierry as we all know was one of the most elegant players to play the game and definitely the greatest ever Arsenal player. He was voted the club’s greatest player in a poll conducted by arsenal.com. Henry has had a distinguished playing career and has won all trophies possible including the World Cup and the Euros.
Henry had a long career and represented teams like Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona and New York Red Bulls, but we all know where his best years were. Henry revealed his retirement on his Facebook page:
After 20 years in the game I have decided to retire from professional football. It is now time for a different career path and I am pleased to say that I will be returning to London and joining Sky Sports. I will hopefully share some of the insights, observations and experiences I have learnt over the years with you guys.
Thierry may no longer grace the field but surely he will grace the Sky Sports set and for once Sky Sports have recruited a proper man to comment on football games. Will he return to his home as a manager? Only time will tell but for now Thank you for the memories Thierry, #Thierry Henry #Legend#Arsenal
