Arsene Wenger has admitted they are following Legia Warsaw starlet Krystian Bielik but a deal is ‘not very close’.
The highly rated 17-year-old defensive midfielder has been one of the most discussed transfers recently such is the lack of juicy rumours floating about.
Bielik recently revealed his desire to come to Arsenal and will not change his mind over his next destination despite the talented midfielder’s current club yet to agree terms. The Gunners are thought to have had two offers of £1.5 and £2.0million rejected but they will continue negotiations.
I’ve made a decision [to join Arsenal] and I’m not going to change it.
I am looking forward to an agreement between the heads of the clubs. I realise that the negotiations may take some time.

I am, however, confident it will happen soon.
Wenger confirmed he is following the progress of Bielik which will come as no surprise considering he trailed with the club last year. The Frenchman jokingly offering some insight into his transfer plans despite brushing off every other name mentioned, however there is no agreement yet.
The Gunners boss told reporters at his pre-match press conference:
He is a young boy that we follow, yes. You see I gave you some information! We are not very close at the moment [to an agreement].
Although Bielik is not someone that will make an impact on the remainder of the season, the player has had assurances from Wenger that he will get the opportunities in the near future should he prove his immense ability.
The Gunners are desperate for some fresh options in the deep lying midfield role, with Francis Coquelin proving how important it is to have an energetic, combative player in front of defence. Someone for those crunching tackles but can still help the transition from the back to attack.
Hopefully Bielik will be one for the future, in the meantime it would be great to have someone to tutor him in the form of Morgan Schneiderlin in addition to Mikel Arteta who is still an important player for us.
