Thierry Henry has been touted as a potential candidate for the manager’s role at Arsenal, and Arsene Wenger believes the former Gunner has what it takes to succeed.
The former French star has taken on a punditry role with Sky since retiring from professional football, but has also undertaken a coaching role within our youth setup.
He is currently working towards earning his coaching badges, and is looking to set himself on the path to eventually becoming the Arsenal manager.
Wenger believes his compatriot has the potential to take over from him some day, and has backed Henry to excel as a coach.
It’s always risky for a former player to take on a managerial role, and it could prove especially so for a player with the legend status Henry boasts at Arsenal.
It would be fantastic to see him take the reigns and succeed at the Emirates; although if that day does ever come, it is likely to be some way into the future.
