Arsene Wenger is allegedly keen on bringing Mexican shot-stopper Guillermo Ochoa to the Emirates, and has been told he must pay £4m for his services, according to talkSPORT.
The long term suitability of both Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina has been brought into question lately, with the media suggesting that Wenger is on the lookout for a replacement.
We have shown an interest in Ochoa before, and the Malaga keeper looks like he might be available come the end of the season.
The 29-year-old only joined the club last summer, but hasn’t enjoyed a fantastic spell in La Liga so far. He is reportedly looking for an exit, and Malaga are willing to let him go.
Ochoa made quite an impact at the World Cup in Brazil with Mexico, and attracted the attention of a number of top teams from across Europe. His checkered past meant clubs were hesitant however, something which hasn’t really changed.
Liverpool are showing an interest too, and will look to challenge us for his signature when the window opens.
