Theo Walcott has put pen to paper to sign a new long-term deal, but unfortunately it’s not an Arsenal contract.
The pacey English forward has made the jump from Nike to adidas, signing a massive new sponsorship deal with the German sports brand, as reported by the Independent.
The news was first revealed by our resident giant Per Mertesacker, with the BFG taking to Twitter to reveal the “breaking transfer news”.

Walcott will become one of the companies leading names, and the 25-year-old will even be taking to the field against Crystal Palace this weekend in a pair of adiZero F50 football boots.

He seems excited at the prospect of working with adidas, and is looking forward to wearing in his new boots.
“I am excited to be joining adidas and lining up alongside some of the world’s best players,” he said.
“The adidas adiZero F50 is an exceptional boot and I am looking forward to scoring goals in them.”
Hopefully this isn’t the only new deal he signs, and perhaps soon we will see him putting pen to paper on an Arsenal extension. Walcott has spent a huge amount of time injured since signing his latest contract, so hopefully he repays our loyalty to him by extending his stay at the Emirates.
