Brooklyn Beckham has continued his meteoric rise through the Arsenal youth ranks by featuring for the Gunners Under-18s – despite only being 15-years-old.
Arsenal transfer news
He was an unused substitute was Arsenal’s Young Guns beat Leicester City’s youth team 1-0, reports the Daily Mirror.
The son of Manchester United legend and footballing icon David Beckham was also given the iconic number 14 shirt worn by of course Thierry Henry.
Beckham featured with the likes of Gedion Zelalem and Ainsley Maitland-Niles who have both been involved for the first team already this season – so perhaps a turn with the Gunners first team isn’t too far away.
He’s progressed well since reportedly signing a one year contract with the Arsenal academy in November last year, with the club fending off the likes of Manchester United despite the Beckhams’ history with the club.
Our youth academy has undoubtedly improved since the arrival of Andries Jonker with improved organisation and results for both the U-21 and U-18 teams.
There’s no doubting Brooklyn Beckham will be on the radar of Arsenal fans over the next few months – possibly years if he signs again with the team and it might not be too long until we see him rocking up at the Emirates.
