Serge Gnabry made his long awaited return to action on Monday night, turning out for the Under-21s after 11 months on the sidelines.
The German starlet completed over an hour at St James’ Park, and was heavily involved in our 2-1 win over Newcastle.
The 19-year-old took to Instagram following the game, celebrating both the victory and his return to football with Arsenal.
Gnabry looked like breaking into the first team at times last season, having already made 14 senior appearances for the club. An injury against Bayern Munich in the Champions League put an end to that, however, and he was forced to watch on from the sidelines throughout most of 2014.
He is still viewed as an extremely promising prospect at the Emirates, and will surely once again find himself involved in first team football at some point in the near future.
