Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has revealed that he and our Spanish magician Santi Cazorla share a special relationship.
The two stars scored in our 2-0 away win against Crystal Palace on Saturday and Giroud revealed to French television that he is especially close to Santi Cazorla.
Arsenal transfer news
Both players in fine form, their bond developed from the fact that they arrived in N5 at the same time and have had very different Arsenal careers. Cazorla proved an instant hit with the fans and English football in general, but Giroud’s rise to prominence has taken a while and the forward is now starting to win over many doubters.
“Cazorla reads the game very well,” he told TF1 (via the Express)
“I have a special relationship with him, we arrived at the same time, we find each other very well.”
Giroud particularly has seemed to improve each campaign, scoring 17 times in his first year at Emirates Stadium, 22 in his second, and despite a broken leg injury has already managed 11 in 18 this term.
