Olivier Giroud, Per Mertesacker, and Wojciech Szczesny met up with Saracens trio David Strettle, Kelly Brown and Chris Wyles for a bit of cross-sport action.

The skills seem to be transferable, as not only were the rugby boys pretty good with the football, but our lads were a dab hand with the egg as well. Our giant German and HFB did well in the aerial challenge, and while Szczesny managed to catch all three of his balls, he did make hard work of it.
The Saracens trio then tried their hands at scoring the perfect hat-tricks, with the Arsenal boys supplying the crosses.

Our Pole in the goal was all too happy to admit that he knew nothing about rugby, a fact that was evident by his shocking performance in the keepy uppy challenge.
The Saracens boys were surprisingly good at this stage, with some skills and flicks incorporated into their keepy uppy routine.
Giroud and Mertesacker were far better than Szczesny with the rugby ball, which is surely a lot harder than it looks.
Per Mertesacker was the real surprise here, excelling in almost every area. He doesn’t strike you as the rugby type, but he was certainly impressive here.
