In today’s news roundup, the Gunners are linked with a surprise summer move for Real Madrid star defender Raphael Verane. This comes only months after signing Gabriel Paulista in the winter transfer window.
Elsewhere in a surprising story, an Ex-Manchester United star has claimed that Angel Di Maria should move to Arsenal if he wishes to save his career. This is because Arsenal’s style of play favours the 27-year old Argentine compared to what Louis van Gaal is offering him at Old Trafford.

Arsenal linked with £30M rated Real Madrid star.
Arsenal are being linked with a surprise move for Real Madrid defender Raphael Verane according to a report by the Metro. The 21-year old – who played a decisive role in Real Madrid’s Champions League triumph last season – has been linked with a move to some of the most established clubs in Europe in the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG.

Given that Arsene Wenger only recently spent a considerable amount of cash in bringing in Gabriel Paulista from Spanish side Villareal, the gaffer will certainly not break the bank with another signing. At least not on a center-back.
Big spending Ligue One side PGS are purportedly leading the chase to sign the French international, with Real Madrid willing to listen should a reasonable offer be tabled.
I highly doubt Wenger will spend that much on another defender.
Ex-Manchester United star claims Arsenal would suit Di Maria best.
Ex- Manchester United star Paul Parker has claimed that after a dreadful debut season for Angel Di Maria at Manchester United, only a move to a club like Arsenal would help save his career. The Argentine has failed to live up to the £59.7m price tag, despite a dazzling start to his Old Trafford career.
Parker claimed that the 27-year old must move on, especially to a club like Arsenal which would suit his style of play perfectly.
“The only way it is going to work out for Di Maria, the only way he is going to get back to being the player he was before, is to move on,” Parker said.
“The way things are going at Manchester United, he is not going to progress as a player because the team are playing horribly and you can’t see how that situation is going to change.”
“PSG would suit him nicely, as would going back to Real Madrid.”
“In England, Arsenal are the best fit for the way they shift the ball around quickly in midfield, but even Chelsea would be a better home for him than United as they are a bit more expressive now, while United have gone from being one of the most flamboyant teams in the Premier League to being in the bottom half of the table for excitement.”
What’s your take gooners?
Arsenal star ruled out for a month after Old Trafford clash.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be on the sidelines for up to one month, according to Sky Sports. The England international was in superb form against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter final, setting up the opener for Nacho Monreal after 25 minutes into the first half.
Arsene Wenger was however prompted to remove the 21-year old only minutes after the start of the second half following signs of discomfort due to what looked like a hamstring injury. A scan on Wednesday revealed that he will likely miss the Champions League clash against AS Monaco and possibly, their Premier League tie home to Liverpool over Easter.
Get well soon Ox.
Arsenal aiming to raid Premier League rivals for class duo.
The Mirror reports that Arsenal are aiming to make a double swoop for Morgan Schneiderlin and Petr Cech. A move for Schneiderlin looks much fancied given that defensive midfielders Mikel Arteta, Abou Diaby and Mathieu Flamini are out of contract in the summer, leaving only a young Francis Coquelin.
With David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny looking nothing more than suitable back-up options, signing a world class goalkeeper would suit the club.
But would Jose Mourinho do business with Arsene Wenger? Highly unlikely.
