Young Arsenal star Gedion Zelalem is eligible to play for a number of national teams, and Jurgen Klinsmann believes he is already ready to turn out for the United States, according to ESPN.
Zelalem has been tipped for greatness, and has even been labeled the next Cesc Fabregas. He has made a handful of first team appearances in cup competitions, but at just 18-years-old he is yet to really make a name for himself.
Klinsmann believes he is more than ready to step up to the national side however, and expressed his desire to see him playing for the United States.
“I think he’s already at a level that he can definitely play on the senior team,” he said.
“He’s a special player.”
It would be far easier for the talented midfielder to break into the US team, but he may wish to hold out and fight for a place with Germany. He would obviously have far more chance of silverware with the current World champions, but will he ever be good enough to turn out for Joachim Löw’s team.

He has seemed a little lightweight for the Premier League at times, but could mature into a top quality player.
