Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has altered Arsene Wenger’s summer plans, with reports suggesting that interest in Morgan Schneiderlin has cooled, according to the Mirror.
Coquelin, who was last week nicknamed “the police officer” by none other than Thierry Henry, has been one of our players of the season. Since being recalled from his loan spell at Charlton, the Frenchman has made many stand up and take notice with his consistent performances.
Despite his impressive form however, rumours of a imminent move for Schneiderlin had persisted. Reports suggested that the Southampton man is Wenger’s ‘priority’ this summer, as per The Evening Standard.
However, it seems as though Wenger is now reconsidering his options and where better to use the finances to strengthen our squad. The report does however, claim that Petr Cech is still a target.
Wenger’s indecision has hindered us in the past, switching transfer targets by the week, but with our squad so close to completion, this summer could be huge.

Much will be depend on what the future holds for Mikel Arteta and Abou Diaby, but one thing is for certain, we cannot fail again in this upcoming transfer window.
