Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of Ligue 1 star Alexandre Lacazette and will go ‘all in’ for the Frenchman this summer, according to Calciomercato.
Lacazette, 23, has caught the eye this season following a sensational campaign with Lyon, scoring 26 league goals which has propelled his side to the top of Ligue 1.
Lyon are competing with Paris Saint Germain for the right to be crowned champions and given that his club are set for a return to the Champions League next season, it may be difficult to prize him away.

However, reports suggest Wenger is a big fan and will pull out all the stops to land his compatriot. Signings from Ligue 1 have turned out differently over the past few years, and players such as Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho have potentially scarred the boss. Olivier Giroud continues to improve but given that he arrived harbouring a similar reputation to Lacazette, he’s yet to transform into the world class striker needed to deliver the Premier League title.
It remains to be seen whether or not Wenger is willing to take the risk which usually comes attached to signings from France’s top division.
